Culture Series: Porchtales Listening Party
July 13, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeNext in the summer Culture Series line up is the HumanitiesDC premier podcast, Porchtales, listening party. Through its compelling narratives and engaging storytelling, Porchtales amplifies the voices of those who make up the fabric of our nation’s capital. Join us as we celebrate the Porchtales season 2 release with this season’s host and producer Katie Davis.
Katie Davis has produced for NPR and This American Life. Now, as she brings this collection of narratives and stories that map the neighborhood she’s lived in for fifty years, we’re going back in time using oral histories and conversation to capture the culture and traditions in this one beautiful, imperfect block.
Listen to the stories live on July 13th and be transported to the historic, vibrant and restless street of Lanier.
