Volunteer with HumanitiesDC

Support HumanitiesDC by volunteering at our events and workshops throughout the year. Volunteer opportunities include tabling, check-in, greeting, event setup, and other on-site support. Here are some of our current opportunities:

DC oral History Collaborative Volunteers:

Support DCOHC by joining us at workshops throughout the year to help with check-in, greeting, supplies, and setup. Upcoming workshops include:

  • Oral History 101+ | March 19, 23, 26, 6:00 PM

Public Event Volunteers:

Join us at public events throughout the year to greet attendees, check-in patrons, and pass our surveys. Upcoming events include:

  • Community Showcase | April 9, 5:00 PM
  • Culture Series | April 23, 6:00 PM

Positions

District Fellows:

The District Fellows program is designed to support humanists, historians and non-profit professionals early in their careers and residing in the DC area. Fellows are chosen annually and take on 6-month roles where they work closely with HumanitiesDC staff, supporting the organization’s work as well as focusing on a related individual project. The fellowships include a stipend up to $12,000.
