Culture Series: Transgender Oral Histories

Join HumanitiesDC for the third event in its new Culture Series. Featuring guest curator Darby Hickey, come hear stories about legendary nightclubs of yesteryear, resilience and organizing in the face of violence and hate, the importance of roller-skating, and the power of family whether chosen or blood. Based off a DC Oral History Collaborative project, this presentation explores how the changes in DC over the past several decades have been experienced and influenced by transgender individuals and communities.

Doors open @ 6:30pm. Event @ 7pm.
