October 5, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - October 7, 2023 @ 7:00 pm

Opening Reception is Free with Registration: Thursday, October 5, 5-7pm Exhibit will be open Friday, October 6 and Saturday, October 7. This immersive, multimedia exhibit, curated by Emmy-winning producer Shellée Haynesworth of the Black Broadway on U Project, celebrates DC’s early Black women performers and playwrights. “Black Broadway” was the moniker given to the U Street corridor in the early 20th century, where luminaries such as Pearl Bailey and Cab Calloway could be found performing.
