“Tally’s Corner TALKS Sessions” is a grantee program from our 2013 “Who’s a Washingtonian?” Grants that has actively engaged a diverse group of people around issues of urban life, community history, and the role of Black churches, residents, and  community organizations in diversifying neighborhoods.
On Sunday, October 19,  TALKS will have a culminating talk with the various groups that have been engaged with the project including participants from Rachael’s’ Women’s Center; 11th and N street residents, UDC and Catholic University students and members from Mount Zion Pentecostal Church.  This talk will occur at 1pm (after worship service) at Mount Zion (1112 N St NW, Washington, DC 20005) and last for about 2 hours. You are invited!
The program is being coordinated by Michelle Chatman, Ph.D. of the Department of Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Social Work at the University of the District of Columbia.
