“This Place Has A Voice” is the juxtaposed visions of nearly two-dozen artists, and hundreds of local residents and visitors, exploring the history and people around Canal Park in near-Southeast DC. The project was augmented by historic research of the neighborhood by local Historian Mara Cherkasky.

Cherkasky’s work will be exhibited on Saturday, September 20 at 2 pm. Historian Robert Pohl, will lead a guided tour, exploring what it was like in the early 1800s and what of that can still be seen. Learn more here:
