Humanities DC has opened the Cycle 1 Grant Process and call for proposals for Major Grants, Small Grants and the Soul of the City Youth Leadership Grant. The deadline for the Major Grant and Soul of the City is February 6, 2015. The deadline for the Small Grant is March 6, 2015. More details about each opportunity is below.
Major Grants of $1,500 to $5,000 funds projects intended to bring the humanities disciplines to the people of Washington, DC. The program encourages creativity and open interpretation. Projects funded by a major grant must meet all of the requirements listed on the Grant Application.
Small Grants of up to $1,500 also funds general public humanities projects, but usually is sought by applicants seeking to conduct preliminary research and planning. Download and view the Grant Application.
Soul of the City is the largest Humanities DC grant opportunity, offering grants of up to $10,000. This program seeks youth leadership organizations interested in replicating our successful Soul of the City model. The application can be viewed here. The deadline to apply is February 6, 2015.
