Live stories about immigrating with your siblings and the unique cultural experiences and bonds formed during the experience

Nobody knows you quite like your siblings. Siblings from all over the world have a special bond, but immigrants with siblings experience unique family dynamics that many other sibling pairs don’t. Having to navigate a new country and culture together forces brothers and sisters to interact in ways that lead to new highs and lows. At KAMA DC’s storytelling night, come hear from immigrant speakers about how their relationships with their siblings grew or transformed over their lives.

Speaking include Giuseppe and Mario Lanzone who own the Peruvian Brothers Restaurant.

KAMA DC is a volunteer-run non-profit that seeks to build community through immigrant-led cultural experiences. We provide a platform for immigrants to share their skills and stories with the DMV community. We’re proud to partner with La Cosecha to bring our stories to life.

The event will start at 6pm so come early to grab food & drinks.

This event is possible thanks to a grant from Humanities DC.
