Join us for an information sharing session and Q & A about this year’s DC Oral History Collaborative (DCOHC) grant opportunities.
The DCOHC Public Projects & Events grant application is currently available, and submissions are due by February 3rd, 2021. This grant is for public humanities projects that use EXISTING oral history collections. The goal is to bring oral histories out of the archive so they can be experienced by public audiences. Potential programs might include (but are not limited to): panel discussions, listening stations, short videos, podcasts, exhibits, curricula, websites, or written publications.
The DCOHC also offers grants for the collection of new oral history interviews and for the continuation of projects previously supported by a DCOHC grant. The applications for both of those programs will be released in the coming weeks, but the information session will provide basic info about those opportunities and will give participants the chance to discuss potential project topics.
